Promoting the fair and consistent application of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
Working collaboratively with the wider HR team, sharing knowledge and seeking support on complex cases when needed.
Contributing to wider HR projects and initiatives that improve employee engagement, manager capability and operational performance.
Maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring actions, correspondence and case management activities are followed up promptly.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a confident, proactive HR professional who enjoys building relationships, influencing managers and finding practical solutions to people challenges.

You’ll be comfortable working independently, managing a varied workload and balancing the needs of the business with a fair and consistent approach to employee relations.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

Experience in an HR Advisor, People Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
Strong employee relations experience, with the confidence to advise managers on both informal and formal processes.
A good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility at all levels.
A well-organised, pragmatic approach and the ability to manage your own diary and competing priorities.
The flexibility and willingness to travel regularly across Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex.
A CIPD qualification or equivalent practical experience.
Experience using Cezanne or a similar HR information system (HRIS) would be advantageous.
