HR Manager (Part-time)
Our client, a prestigious educational establishment, based in WD7, has an exciting opportunity to join their team as an HR Manager.
In this busy and varied role, you will be a key member of the establishment’s administration team, working closely with the head of finance and the principal to help manage the lifecycle of the staff. This role will cover the full range of HR matters, from safer recruitment through to HR casework, maintaining HR policies and keeping employee records are up to date.
The successful candidate will be entitled to a full-time equivalent salary of £35-45k, with potential scope for flexibility for the right candidate.
This is a part-time role, with hours to be agreed with the successful candidate and is term-time only.
The Role
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of recruitment, including the advertisement of adverts and liaising with applicants, ensuring safer recruitment is followed
- To support and advise on matters relating to FTE, term time and term time plus staff, including holiday pay calculation
- To undertake training needs and make recommendations for wider staff training
- To support the bursar on advising staff on a wide range of queries and matters, building strong and effective working relationships with stakeholders
- As required, manage an HR caseload in a range of areas such as investigations, disciplinary, probation, absence and grievance
- Ensure and advise the establishment on relevant employment law and keep up dated with any changes
- Develop, implement and review HR policies, procedures and practices to support operational needs
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous solid experience in a HR Officer, Managerial or senior role
- CIPD Lv 5 or 7 is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with varied stakeholders
- Desire and ability to take ownership of the role
- Professional and flexible, with a proactive attitude
- Excellent administrative skills and proficient IT skills
