Temporary People Administrator
Location: Darlington (Fully on-site)
Hours: Monday – Friday, Full time
Contract: Temporary (July – August)
Salary: £15.00 per hour (REED PAYE)
We are delighted to be supporting a busy and fast-paced well-established organisation as they look to appoint a Temporary People Administrator to join their People team over the summer period. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a hands-on HR support role, providing essential administrative assistance during a peak period.
Working closely with the wider People function, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of HR processes, maintaining accurate records, and supporting key administrative activities across the employee lifecycle.
This position would suit a highly organised and reliable individual who thrives in a fast-moving environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.
The Role
As Temporary People Administrator, you will provide efficient and reliable administrative support across the HR function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing general administrative support across the People/HR team
- Supporting absence management processes, including tracking, monitoring, and maintaining accurate documentation
- Preparing and issuing standard HR correspondence and letters
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records (electronic and manual filing systems)
- Assisting with data entry and updating HR systems
- Supporting the wider team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required
About You
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage a varied workload and maintain high levels of accuracy.
You will bring:
- Previous experience within an HR or administrative role (preferred)
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Good written communication skills, with experience drafting correspondence desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
