Our client is a brilliant professional services business based in London, this business has been through significant growth over the last 3 years. Due to this growth they are looking to recruit a Talent Manager to join their team reporting to the Head of HR, paying up to £70,000 in a standalone role.
The Talent Manager will work closely with the Head of HR and be responsible for the Recruitment of Business Services, Fee earning and Partner staff and also the Benefits and Compensation across the company. You will be supporting the businesses growth and hiring plans set by the HR team and partners and be responsible for all Recruitment reporting on live roles. A key role to the business to allow them to secure top available talent in the market.
Job responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process across all practice areas and business services teams
- Support with implementing the new Applicant Tracking System (greenhouse)
- Partner with hiring managers and Partners to define role requirements, sourcing strategies, and selection processes
- Develop and implement a direct sourcing strategy to reduce agency reliance
- Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and external suppliers
- Initiate the use of new and effective applicant assessment techniques that align with firm values
- Track and analyse recruitment metrics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
- Support with early careers initiatives, including work experience and trainee recruitment
Total Reward (Compensation & Benefits)
- Maintain and develop the firm’s remuneration framework, including job levelling and salary banding
- Manage and regularly review employee benefits, ensuring they remain competitive and cost-effective
- Conduct benchmarking exercises using external market data
- Provide advice to senior stakeholders on pay decisions, reward strategy, and retention risks
- Oversee benefits administration and vendor relationships
HR Alignment
- Contribute to the wider HR strategy, particularly in relation to talent attraction, retention, and employee engagement
- Support workforce planning and organisational design initiatives
- Develop policies and processes relating to recruitment and reward
- Help ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation and best practice (e.g. equal pay, transparency)
Skills and experience needed
- Proven experience in an HR or Talent role with responsibility for both recruitment and reward
- Experience working within a professional services or legal environment (preferred)
- Strong understanding of compensation and benefits principles, including benchmarking and salary reviews
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior individuals
- Experience managing recruitment processes across a range of roles and seniority levels
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to support decision-making
- Familiarity with HR systems and recruitment platforms
- Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation
