About
1. Tech transfer - as part of process development at Osler, understand the design outputs, making the product and testing it and interpreting results whether or not requirements have been met. This could mean sometimes translating a requirement into different formats as departments/functions and sometimes suppliers may need to measure a parameter differently.
2. Took the Percival project at Owen Mumford from making a dozen at a time by hand at my desk to a high-speed validated production line.
3. At Quanta and liaised and managed Europlaz who were the main OEM. Think included injection moulding and assembly processes. I specified and equipment the Quanta factory including bespoke equipment acquisition. At Osler I took a manual desktop process until I commissioned an automated line in Switzerland. Went on to be technical SME during the tendering for the full auto-line budgeted at over £40m
4. I established a CAPEX approval process at Osler.
5. Introduced industrial leak-testers and replaced the analysers which where being modified to serve as makeshift leak-testers.
6. Developed the needle siliconization process include the clogged bore silicone coverage/penetration force test.
7. I lead the pain management development of the Unifine pentips to produce an industry leading product.
8. I have a patented product and process invention.
9. I worked on the original design, prototyping and testing of the Pandrol Vanguard which went on to receive an award for Innovation in Technology.
