About
I've spent 25 years building, scaling and occasionally rescuing creative businesses. The headline is iris Worldwide — I joined when it was 30 people, helped grow it to 1,600 across 16 countries, and was part of the leadership team through a £65m exit. That earned a Sunday Times Entrepreneur of the Year, which I'm proud of without being defined by.
Since then I've taken on MD, CEO, COO and CCO roles across a range of businesses — WCRS, SEEN Connects, Climb Online, Green Park Content, Unboxed Consulting, School of Communication Arts among them. Some were growth plays, some were turnarounds. I'm comfortable in both, though I'm more interested in building than firefighting at this point.
The through-line across all of it is commercial leadership with a human side. I've run full P&L, built and rebuilt pipelines, won over £50m in new business pitches, and managed senior client relationships across eBay, Sony, Unilever, Aston Martin and Sky. I've also built and led teams up to 150 people across APAC, EMEA and the Americas, which teaches you things about culture and communication that no other experience does.
Alongside the commercial work, I care about the industry doing better. I've created over 40 scholarships for underrepresented talent entering the creative sector, served as a trustee at Herne Hill Velodrome, and done pro bono work for Women's Aid. These aren't footnotes — they reflect how I think about what good leadership looks like.
I'm a Sports Science graduate from Northumbria, which probably explains the competitive streak and the belief that fundamentals matter more than tactics.
I'm currently looking for senior roles — MD, CEO, COO or Chief Commercial — in independent creative agencies, mission-driven scale-ups, or businesses at the intersection of content, culture and commerce. Ideally somewhere that values straight talking and long-term thinking in equal measure.
