About
With over 21 years in the financial industry, I’ve worked across a wide range of roles — from front‑line, face‑to‑face customer service to project management, executive coaching, and leadership consultancy. This breadth of experience has given me a deep understanding of people, organisational dynamics, and how effective leadership drives performance and sustainable cultures.
I played a key role in one of the largest business and cultural turnarounds in modern financial history following the 2008 financial collapse. During this transformation, I became a Leadership Consultant and Executive Coach, supporting RBS, as it reinvented itself into a bank with a clear purpose, and a renewed commitment to its customers and employees. My work focused on coaching leaders and staff through a complete cultural reset — helping them understand our new Leadership model, would help them reconnect with their strengths, so they could use more of their skills and potential, which were essential to the bank’s recovery and long‑term success.
I worked closely with Learning and Development to design and deliver workshops and leadership programmes that created measurable business and cultural change. A core part of this work involved identifying training needs across different business areas and ensuring that development programmes were targeted, relevant, and aligned with strategic goals. I also assessed coaching needs to support business improvement and provided sustainable follow‑up to ensure that behavioural change was implemented long‑term — helping the organisation grow its talent and strengthen overall performance.
One example of this impact, was a Performance Psychology programme that I ran for three years, supporting more than 1,000 employees. The programme helped people remove limiting beliefs, unlock more of their potential, and build confidence in their abilities. This contributed to significant improvements in annual staff surveys — happier employees, stronger performance, and leaders who felt more capable, supported by a coaching‑led culture.
Building strong stakeholder relationships has always been key to my approach. I focus on creating trust‑based partnerships, which are consistent and credible, between leaders, teams, HR, and organisational strategy. This helped to build alignment and support change through clear communication and shared purpose. The key take away was the mindset of "Everything we do, contributes to our purpose positively".
Today, I bring a calm, direct coaching style shaped by Norwegian professional values: clarity, respect, and accountability. I am motivated by helping people succeed in demanding environments and by creating the conditions where teams feel confident, capable, and aligned.
