About
Vin Parker, FRAeS, is a senior aviation advisor in flight crew training, learning & development, and legacy cabin services.
Mr. Parker has worked for numerous part 121 and 135 airlines, industry consultant, and contractor for the FAA AFS-280 office. Most recently, he was Director of Learning & Development, Flight Operations Training at Republic Airways, which is a U.S. based carrier, serving American, United, and Delta airlines.
In 2012, Mr. Parker was appointed as chairman of the Regional Airlines Association (RAA) Training & AQP Working Group. Prior to Republic Airways, Vin was Director of L&D, Crew Training; and Cabin Services Director for a global part 135 jet operator; and was the General Manager of AQP for pilot and cabin crew training program for over 10 years at Compass Airlines, serving American and Delta Air Lines.
Throughout his career, Mr. Parker has served on numerous flight crew training industry committees (AQP, CBTA, EBT, and MPL), including several work groups for the FAA ACT-ARC. He also served as a fulltime training consultant for the FAA Training & Simulator group (AFS-280), and consultant for NASA Ames Research Center, developing targeted pilot crewmember training and initiatives.
Mr. Parker embarked on his aviation career in 1987 with Pan American World Airways in London, where he held roles as cabin crew, purser, instructor, and contributed to inflight services product development. Following his tenure at Pan Am, he continued his professional journey with Mesaba Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Compass Airlines, Aero Industries, the FAA, and Republic Airways.
Mr. Parker is a Fellow member (FRAeS) with the Royal Aeronautical Society, and is a regularly presenter at industry events, worldwide.
