Sarah McKenna HR Recruitment is partnering with a values-driven organisation with a not-for-profit ethos to find an experienced HR Manager to lead their people function. The role
As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll lead a team of five and take ownership of the people strategy. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance strategy with delivery, ensuring the business has the infrastructure, culture, and workforce in place to achieve ambitious plans.
You will:
- Lead and develop a dedicated HR team.
- Own the People Plan and align it with business goals.
- Partner with leaders to deliver organisational change, including TUPE and workforce redesign.
- Strengthen policies, processes, and compliance while keeping the human touch.
- Champion engagement, wellbeing, and a positive employee experience.
- Build strong relationships internally and externally on workforce matters.
Essential experience
Proven experience leading a HR function at senior level.
Strong background in organisational change, TUPE, and workforce harmonisation.
Confident in balancing strategic direction with hands-on delivery.
Credible and confident influencing senior leaders, with strong employment law knowledge.
Track record of delivering practical solutions that add real value.

- Salary: £63,000
- Holidays: 33 days + bank holidays
