Dalton Recruitment is proud to working with a fantastic Global Insurance business to secure them an experienced and forward-thinking HR Operations Manager for a 12 month maternity cover contract. The HR Operations Manager will play a pivotal role enhancing and optimising the global HR operational infrastructure, building scalable HR systems, harmonising global HR processes and strengthening the overall employee experience by supporting the delivery of the broader HR strategy.
As a key member of the HR team, a central part of the role will be to own the development and optimisation of the HRIS as they implement a new system, migrate the employee data, set up modules and oversee day-to-day operational delivery across multiple international locations. Much work has been done but there is still lots to do and the longer the handover they have the better!
While neither Global experience or previous Financial Services experience are essential, either or both would of course be welcomed. The role will suit an HR professional with strong system experience and a good calm logical approach to problem solving.
The role offers a comprehensive package and hybrid working with 3 days required in the client's City offices with 2 working from home.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the HR leadership team in delivering HR strategies aligned with company goals
- Own, develop and maintain the HR Information System (HRIS) including but not limited to recruitment, training, development and performance management modules, ensuring it supports operational, analytical and strategic HR needs globally
- Evaluate and identify areas of improvement for system-based processes, recommending and implementing efficiency-enhancing changes.
- Leverage HR technology to streamline processes, improve data integrity, enhance productivity, and optimise workflow.
- Drive the automation of HR processes wherever possible to create a scalable, efficient HR function.
- Support the transition to a global operating model, ensuring HR initiatives accommodate diverse, international workforces.
- Standardise global HR processes, policies and procedures, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Support global payroll and benefits activity, including validation checks and vendor coordination
- Drive continuous improvement across HR operations, using data and analytics to inform decision-making
- Lead employer branding initiatives internally and externally to position the organisation as an employer of choice
- Champion inclusion, belonging and cultural engagement initiatives across global teams
- Manage and develop the Global HR Administrator, providing day-to-day direction and ensuring effective first-line HR support
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field; CIPD qualification preferred
- 5+ years of HR experience (ideally in a multi-country or global environment)
- Strong expertise in HRIS implementation and optimisation, ideally with Deel HRIS and Payroll
- Demonstrated success in process automation and improving operational workflows
- Strong understanding of employer branding, engagement and inclusive culture development
- Deep knowledge of global employment law compliance
- Exceptional project management and change management capability
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across stakeholders and cultures
- Analytical mindset with confidence in working with HR metrics and reporting tools
