HR Advisor - ER focussed - 3 month ftc
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our client in their amazing Luton HQ. This role is varied and hands-on, covering employee relations, learning and development, resourcing, and reward. You’ll work closely with managers and employees across the business, providing expert guidance and helping to deliver a positive people experience.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Keep HR policies and procedures up to date and compliant with employment legislation.
- Advise and support managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations matters.
- Manage ER cases and liaise with ACAS for early conciliation where required.
- Support employment tribunal preparation and activity as needed.
- Coordinate with Occupational Health to manage long-term absence, ensuring employees’ wellbeing is supported throughout their journey with us.
Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and help design and deliver solutions.
- Coach and develop line managers on HR-related topics.
- Collaborate on creating a suite of HR training for people managers.
- Contribute to talent management and succession planning initiatives.
- Mentor and support junior team members, including the People Assistant and HR Apprentice.
Resourcing
- Partner with managers to identify recruitment needs and create job descriptions.
- Support the Talent Team with recruitment, including attending assessment centres.
- Represent the company as an ambassador at job fairs and recruitment events.
- Guide managers through probationary period reviews and annual appraisals.
Compensation & Benefits
- Contribute to bonus and incentive processes.
- Support the design and delivery of employee benefits strategies.
- Assist with salary reviews and benchmarking activities.
General / Ad Hoc
- Provide support to the wider HR team as needed.
- Produce HR KPI reporting for the business.

- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience handling a wide range of employee relations cases.
- Confident in coaching and supporting managers.
- Passion for employee wellbeing and development.
- Proactive, approachable, and able to build trusted relationships at all levels.
