My client is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to lead and take accountability for their site based in Cookstown, currently employing c85 team members.
This stand-alone role will involve full responsibility for day-to-day HR generalist duties and initiatives, providing customer-focused advice and support to managers, supervisors, and team members in line with our policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Advise and support supervisors and managers in all day-to-day operational HR matters, acting as a true business partner
- Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of HR and also be involved in a project capacity to ensure HR is ‘adding value’ long term
- Build strong relationships with line managers and supervisors to provide business partnering support to ensure the effective and seamless delivery of end-to-end HR processes
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers, supervisors, and team members
- Support line managers and supervisors to set goals for team members, assess capability, and drive calibration across the performance management cycle
- Lead change management, team member engagement initiatives, and culture & inclusion activities
- Manage the recruitment life cycle from inception to completion, partnering with hiring managers to ensure quality of talent
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures and ensure they are applied consistently at the site and updated where necessary
- Proactively manage absence and support the coordination of occupational health provision
- Handle disciplinary & grievance issues professionally
- Administer payroll for the site
- Plan, organise, and deliver training & development for team members at all levels
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- HR-related degree is advantageous / Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or relevant professional qualification
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and the ability to apply it practically within a production environment
- Extensive employee relations experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Strong interpersonal and IT skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance operational demands with multiple project initiatives
