They are seeking a proactive and confident HR professional to join their on-site HR team, supporting a diverse workforce and partnering with leaders across the operation.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a busy and varied generalist HR role, with plenty of scope to develop your skills, get involved in meaningful projects, and contribute to a positive, high-performing workplace culture. The role is initially offered on a 6-month basis, with a plan to transfer to a permanent position following that.
The Role
As an HR Advisor, you will provide hands-on, generalist HR support across the full employee lifecycle. You’ll act as a trusted partner to managers and employees, offering guidance on HR policies, employee relations, recruitment, training, HR data analysis, and day-to-day HR operations.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, has strong interpersonal skills, and is comfortable working within a unionised or industrial/manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations - Provide first-line advice to managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment law
- HR Operations - Support onboarding, offboarding, contract changes, and general HR administration
- Recruitment & Talent - Support end-to-end recruitment for a range of operational and functional roles
- HR Data & Reporting - Produce regular and ad-hoc HR reports (absence, turnover, headcount, training compliance etc.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a generalist HR role
- Comfortable handling data, analysing trends and producing reports
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
- High levels of professionalism, discretion and integrity
