Job PurposeAs an Early Careers Recruiter you will work in partnership and support the Early Careers Talent Acquisition Partner with all aspects of recruitment activity for early careers. This will include attraction, selection and onboarding of our apprentices, interns and graduates. You will support business managers to identify and hire the best candidate within the recruitment process and provide professional advice and support on all aspects of recruitment. We are a collaborative team that prides ourselves on working closely with our business to recruit talent and provide our candidates with a great experience. At times, you may be required to support recruitment in other areas.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities- To advise recruiting managers on candidate availability in the market place, sourcing options and costs as well as company / market place initiatives taking into account the Company’s Resourcing policy and own expertise in this field
- Update and maintain the recruitment Applicant Tracking System
- To produce job advert content for direct advertisements where applicable and post on relevant job boards and social media channels
- To provide guidance / training for managers on recruitment and selection policies and procedures to ensure the Company’s legislative compliance
- Carry out shortlisting activity where appropriate
- Working with the Talent Acquisition Partner to conduct screening calls and preparation calls with candidates
- Seek opportunity for continuous improvement to quality of service reducing time to fill vacancies, introduce candidate monitoring on vacancy performance and reviewing selection tools to ensure increased accuracy
- Expert advice and guidance on contracts of employment and respective anomalies
- Ad hoc reporting for senior managers on aspects of the recruitment process such as declined offers
- Designing and advising hiring managers on robust and fit for purpose selection materials, ensuring UU values are incorporated
- Advice and guidance on psychometric and behavioural assessment tools and results and working with the online test provider to identify successful candidates
- Facilitate at graduate and apprentice assessment centres as required
- Advise and agree with the recruiting manager the legal requirements and employing entity etc
- To provide professional candidate management throughout the recruitment and selection process to ensure that every candidate has a positive and professional experience of our recruitment process
- To co-ordinate and attend school and university career events and external marketing activities which may require out of hours work
- To facilitate a pro-active onboarding strategy for early careers
- you will be expected to support other parts of the recruitment team during quieter periods in the early careers calendar
Technical Skills & Experience- Proven experience of operating in a high-volume recruitment environment within Early Careers is essential
- Clear understanding of and skill in the use of a broad range of recruitment tools and services
- Knowledge and application of questions and interview tools which test for specific job competencies
- Experience of working with and influencing recruiting managers at all levels as well as third party agencies to ensure that our process is compliant and within legislative guidelines
Qualifications- 5 GCSE’S / O levels including Maths and English or equivalent
