Reed HR is partnering with a large, complex organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Benefits Analyst for a 12-month interim assignment, engaged via Reed’s payroll. This opportunity would suit a highly experienced benefits specialist who can operate autonomously in a senior, analytical role while partnering effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
As a Senior Benefits Analyst, you will be responsible for the effective management, governance, and continuous improvement of employee benefit programmes, ensuring compliance, data accuracy, and a high-quality employee experience. Working fully remotely, you will collaborate closely with third-party administrators (TPAs), payroll, finance, and HR colleagues to ensure seamless benefits delivery across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Operations & Governance
- Lead the management of employee lifecycle benefit events, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Act as the senior point of contact for TPAs and benefit vendors, overseeing data exchange and service delivery
- Manage complex benefits billing and reconciliation across vendor invoices, payroll, and general ledger
- Investigate, resolve, and make informed decisions on complex benefits discrepancies
Programme & Change Support
- Provide subject matter expertise to support the design, enhancement, and implementation of benefit programmes
- Coordinate benefit plan changes and ensure smooth delivery in partnership with vendors and internal teams
- Drive efficient, compliant, and scalable benefits processes
Employee & Stakeholder Support
- Act as a senior subject matter expert for complex employee and stakeholder benefit queries
- Support onboarding activity by ensuring accurate enrolment and clear benefits communication
Reporting, Audit & Compliance
- Ensure benefits reporting aligns with governance frameworks and legislative obligations
- Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Own and maintain benefits SOPs, process documentation, and guidance materials
- Contribute to benefits communications and intranet content
- Share expertise across the team, coaching colleagues and supporting knowledge transfer
About You
- Degree-educated in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Demonstrable experience in a senior benefits or benefits operations role, ideally within a shared services or complex organisational environment
- Strong working knowledge of benefits compliance, vendor management, and HR governance
- Experience partnering with TPAs, benefit vendors, and HRIS platforms (Workday preferred)
- High attention to detail with strong analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills
- Confident communicator, able to operate at pace and manage senior stakeholder expectations
- Self-sufficient, organised, and comfortable working fully remotely in an interim capacity
