Our client, a growing business within a manufacturing environment based in Bishop Auckland, are looking to recruit a HR Business Partner to join their team.
This is a varied and hands on role supporting the wider business through continued growth, working closely with managers to deliver a proactive and high quality HR service across the organisation, with travel to other sites required as part of the role.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of the People Plan and ongoing development of HR processes and procedures
- Provide guidance on HR policies, employment law and employee relations matters
- Coach and support managers across performance, attendance and capability issues
- Support end to end recruitment, including sourcing candidates and assisting with interviews
- Support probation reviews, appraisals and identification of training and development needs
- Manage sickness absence processes, welfare meetings and occupational health referrals
- Produce HR reporting on absence, turnover and timekeeping
- Support the development and maintenance of HR policies to ensure legal compliance
- Take ownership of HR projects and reporting requirements as needed
About you:
- Previous experience within a generalist HR role is essential
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent or above is required
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Confident supporting and influencing managers at all levels
- Proactive approach with strong problem solving ability
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able to work independently whilst also being a key team player
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
