Interim HR Advisor (Full-Time)
Location: Trowbridge (with regular travel to Portbury, BS20 – own transport essential) Rate: Circa £20 per hour Duration: Approximately 8 weeks (with potential extension) Start: Urgent requirement
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide immediate interim support during a period of absence within the team. This is a hands-on generalist role, working closely with a frontline operational environment, requiring a confident and proactive HR professional who can hit the ground running.
This is a fully site-based role, offering the opportunity to work closely with managers and employees while making a real impact during a critical period.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, providing expert HR support across a wide range of employee relations matters
- Handle casework including disciplinaries, grievances, sickness absence and performance management
- Support managers with day-to-day HR queries, ensuring best practice and compliance
- Manage Subject Access Requests and other HR-related administrative processes
- Provide practical, commercially focused HR advice to support business operations
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple sites
About You
- Proven experience operating at HR Advisor level within a busy, fast-paced environment
- Confident managing a full ER caseload independently
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and support managers
- Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively in a demanding environment
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
Additional Information
- Based primarily in Trowbridge, with travel to Portbury required several days per week
- This role is fully site-based due to the nature of the business
- Initial contract expected to last around 8 weeks, with potential for extension
