We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Officer to join a growing manufacturing and distribution organisation based in Folkestone. The Role
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide a comprehensive and hands-on HR service across a busy site, supporting both operational and office-based teams.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing practical HR advice and guidance to line managers on a day-to-day basis
- Managing and supporting employee relations cases including absence, disciplinary and grievance matters
- Assisting with high-volume recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning
- Supporting performance management and employee development processes
- Maintaining accurate HR records and updating HR systems
- Assisting with HR reporting, audits and compliance requirements
- Supporting initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention across the site
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in a HR Officer or similar generalist HR role
- Experience working within a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment (highly desirable)
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law
- Confidence managing employee relations cases in a fast-paced setting
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Excellent communication skills with a hands-on, approachable style
- CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification (or working towards)
