HR and Training Coordinator
Our client’s mission is to support young people from various backgrounds, including those with mental health concerns, care leavers, Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASCs), and individuals transitioning from residential care back into the community. The Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and well-organised HR Coordinator to support the smooth running of recruitment, onboarding and staff training processes across the organisation. The role will focus on coordinating recruitment activities, supporting new starters through the onboarding journey, maintaining training compliance and acting as a key point of contact for staff and managers. This position helps ensure all recruitment, induction and training processes are delivered efficiently, professionally and in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
Duties:
- Recruitment coordination – Manage the end-to-end recruitment process including posting vacancies, screening applications, arranging interviews, liaising with candidates and supporting Hiring Managers.
- Onboarding and compliance – Coordinate all new starter onboarding processes including right to work checks, references, DBS tracking, induction planning, training enrolment and HR system setup.
- Training administration – Allocate and monitor mandatory training, maintain training matrices and support staff learning and development across the organisation.
- HR administration – Maintain accurate employee records, prepare contracts and employment letters, update HR systems and manage confidential documentation in line with GDPR requirements.
- HR systems and reporting – Produce recruitment, onboarding and training compliance reports and support workforce audits and monitoring processes.
- Employee support – Act as a first point of contact for recruitment, onboarding and training queries, providing a professional and supportive service to staff and managers.
- Policy and process compliance – Ensure recruitment, onboarding and workforce processes are completed in line with safer recruitment standards, company policies and UK employment legislation.
- Audit and quality support – Support internal audits, compliance checks and workforce monitoring to help meet Ofsted and CQC regulatory requirements.
- HR project support – Assist with HR initiatives including staff wellbeing, policy updates, employee engagement and continuous improvement projects.
- Promote inclusion and engagement – Encourage a positive and inclusive workplace culture through staff engagement and participation in team and community activities.
Candidate Attributes and Desirable Skills:
- HRIS proficiency – Experience using HR systems and maintaining accurate data.
- Employment law knowledge – Understanding of core UK HR legislation and best practice.
- Communication skills – Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
- Organisation and time management – Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Attention to detail – High accuracy in documentation and data handling.
- Confidentiality – Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Team collaboration – Works effectively with HR colleagues and wider teams.
- Experience in a similar HR support role.
- Familiarity with UK right to work and onboarding processes.
