An established, fast-moving organisation is seeking an HR Advisor to support the delivery of a responsive and high-quality people service across its workforce.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll work closely with managers and employees to provide practical HR support across day-to-day operations, while also contributing to longer-term initiatives around capability, engagement, and development. You’ll be a key point of contact for people-related matters, ensuring a consistent and professional approach.
About the role
You’ll operate at the centre of the business, building strong relationships with line managers and offering clear, timely guidance on a wide range of HR topics. Alongside casework, you’ll also play a role in supporting recruitment activity, workforce planning, and the ongoing development of employees and managers.
The position is primarily site-based, with some flexibility required to support different working patterns when needed.
Key responsibilities
- Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries, providing accurate and practical guidance to managers and employees
- Supporting the management of employee relations matters, including investigations, hearings, and outcomes
- Advising on attendance issues and working with managers to improve overall absence levels
- Collaborating with managers to understand staffing needs and support hiring activity
- Assisting with onboarding processes and ensuring compliance with relevant employment requirements
- Contributing to the delivery of development initiatives that build capability across the workforce
- Working with stakeholders to identify skills gaps and support targeted learning interventions
- Producing and sharing people data to support operational decision-making
- Supporting internal communication channels and employee engagement forums
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance the overall HR service
