Role Overview and Responsibilities
About the role
This is a fixed term role for 12 Month's.
This is a largely internally facing role, involving playing an integral part in key HR/People administration, recruitment and employee relations and working at an operational level whilst driving business initiatives. There will be opportunties to have involvement in the full employee support and development cycle.
Key Responsibilities
We are going through a period of change to develop, coach and embed a partnering approach that adds value through increasing the capability and confidence of our people leaders in relation to the understanding and application of our people policies.
One core focus is the development of our engagement strategy, so our people, culture and processes are enhanced using the ‘best companies’ feedback loop and framework. Our aim is to climb through the levels which as we strive to have positive impacts on people and their engagement with us. Through this activity embedding employee, manufacturing and commercially focused/centric approaches.
This role will be instrumental to support the HR team and business in these pursuits.
You will need to be CIPD qualified or have demonstrable proven HR experience.
This is a generalist HR role in a busy manufacturing site so the ability to work autonomously is key and be confident to provide support in all areas of HR including people management, absence, employee relations, ED&I and coaching.
You’ll be have a big part in the progression and timely resolution of ER matters. Ensure the company complies with all aspects of Employment Law. Identify & drive continuous improvements within the Human Resource area. Comply with all HSE requirements related to the role and work towards a zero-harm culture.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
Qualifications/Skills (core)
- CIPD qualified or working towards if demonstrable experience
- Proven experience of resolving casework problems and an awareness of employment legislation
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills to deliver support to all areas of the business
Desirable Skills and Experience
Qualified to CIPD Level 3 and / or Level 5 (or equivilant people process/leadership experience)
