Overview
We are partnering with a large, fast-growing organisation to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. Supporting a portfolio of diverse sites across the UK, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a newly established, dynamic HR team with genuine scope for longer-term opportunities within the wider group.
The Role
As HR Business Partner, you will support multiple operational sites across Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, and the wider northern region. This is a highly visible role requiring strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to operate at pace in a changing environment.
You will work closely with site leadership teams to drive people initiatives, support cultural alignment, and ensure HR practices are fit for purpose across a diverse and evolving business.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders across multiple sites to provide strategic and operational HR support
- Support the delivery of people plans aligned to business objectives
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters (with complex cases escalated within the team)
- Review and ensure policies and procedures remain relevant and effective
- Drive initiatives around talent development, including apprenticeships and upskilling
- Support reward and benefits reviews to ensure competitiveness and engagement
- Contribute to HR projects, including culture and integration within newly acquired businesses
- Work collaboratively within a supportive HR team to share workload and best practice
About You

Key requirements:
- Proven experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role
- Experience supporting multiple locations/sites
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
- Comfortable operating within a developing HR function
- Passionate about improving people processes and culture
Sector experience is not essential — we are open to candidates from a range of backgrounds.
Working Pattern & Travel
- Hybrid working with flexibility to work from home
- Regular travel to sites required (typically 2–3 days per week, flexible approach)
- Visits to all sites approximately once per month
- Team meetings held every 6 weeks in a central location
- Travel costs covered, including car allowance and mileage reimbursement
