We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join a successful multi-site retail business.
Reporting to the Head of HR and People, you will act as a trusted advisor to managers and senior leaders, providing expert HR guidance and delivering initiatives that support organisational objectives. This is a varied role that combines operational HR support with strategic project work, systems management and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with managers and leaders to provide expert advice throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Lead and deliver HR projects, including organisational change, policy development and process improvements.
- Manage and optimise HR systems including upgrades, testing and troubleshooting.
- Oversee payroll processes through an external managed service provider, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement across HR processes, systems and practices.
- Support workforce planning, talent management and succession planning activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes.
- Deliver training and coaching to managers on HR policies, procedures and systems.
About You
You will have:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
- Strong knowledge of HR systems,
- Experience leading HR projects and delivering successful outcomes.
- Excellent understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
