HR Officer
Reed HR is partnering with a prominent global manufacturing company to recruit an experienced HR Officer to join their team. This is a varied and hands-on role supporting the full employee lifecycle, with responsibility for recruitment, onboarding, HR systems administration, employee support, compliance, training coordination, and workforce reporting.
Working closely with managers across the business, you will play a key role in delivering an efficient and professional HR service while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, selection, and onboarding activities for permanent employees and contractors.
- Prepare employment contracts, contractual amendments, and employee documentation.
- Deliver inductions and coordinate onboarding and training plans for new starters.
- Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and people processes.
- Administer and maintain HR systems, including Workday, SAP, and ServiceNow, ensuring data accuracy and reporting requirements are met.
- Support contractor management activities, including onboarding, contract extensions, and IR35 compliance.
- Coordinate visa, immigration, right-to-work, and pre-employment screening processes.
- Manage training administration, including bookings, records, invoices, and support for apprenticeship and graduate trainee programmes.
- Produce HR reports, analyse workforce data, and monitor key people metrics.
- Conduct regular compliance checks, including training renewals, DBS checks, driving licence monitoring, labour turnover reporting, and service awards.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of HR processes and competency management systems.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience within a HR Advisor, HR Officer, or similar generalist HR position and be comfortable managing a broad range of HR activities in a fast-paced environment.
You will possess:
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle activities.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working with HR systems and producing reports.
- The ability to build effective relationships and provide professional HR guidance to managers and employees.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Desirable
- Experience using Workday, SAP, and/or ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of IR35, visa, and immigration processes.
- Experience supporting apprenticeship, graduate, or training programmes.
- CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification, or a willingness to work towards a CIPD qualification.
