Job Title: HR Manager (Standalone)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Location: Middlewich, Cheshire
Working Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, Office Based
My client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the delivery of a professional and proactive HR function. This is a varied generalist role, supporting the business across employee relations, compliance, performance management, engagement and organisational development.
Key Duties
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, performance management and offboarding.
- Provide expert HR advice and support to managers and employees on all employment-related matters.
- Lead employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance issues.
- Coordinate key HR processes, including probation reviews, employee changes and maintaining accurate HR records.
- Support managers with performance reviews, development planning and HR best practice.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Produce HR reports and metrics to support business decision-making.
- Support workforce planning, succession planning and talent management activities.
- Review and improve HR processes, systems and procedures.
- Work closely with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate employee information.
- Support organisational change, restructuring projects and wider business initiatives.
- Coordinate internal communications and promote employee engagement, wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Proven experience managing employee relations matters independently.
- Experience with TUPE transfers, both incoming and outgoing.
- Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Positive, proactive and adaptable approach.
Desirable
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or above.
- Minimum five years' HR generalist experience.
- Experience working within a fast-paced environment.
- Previous involvement in organisational change initiatives.
