ER Advisor
- Hourly Rate: £18.42 to £20.59 PAYE

We are seeking an ER Advisor to serve as a critical first point of contact for stakeholders, particularly managers, across the Distribution side of the business. This role is pivotal in providing timely and informed advice on all aspects of employee case management and ensuring that cases are handled efficiently and in compliance with policies.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Act as the first point of contact for stakeholders, offering expert advice on various employee relations issues including disciplinary matters, grievances, and absence management.
- Ensure robust investigations are carried out for potential gross misconduct cases and that these cases progress efficiently to formal hearings.
- Provide coordinated support to the ER & Cases Manager on complex and confidential ER matters, including preparing reports and presentation materials.
- Assist with ER projects that support wider Employee Relations objectives and policy development.
- Maintain and update ER records, ensuring accurate management of data and compliance with storage protocols.
- Analyse and present data to support the interpretation of management information and ER trends.
- Manage meeting schedules, arrange meetings, and maintain accurate records of meetings and actions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an ER Advisor or in a similar HR operational role, with a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of employment legislation and its impact on case management, including familiarity with ACAS guidance.
- Experience in investigation interviewing techniques, designing interview questions, and writing investigation reports.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- CIPD qualification is essential; a degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field is desirable.
