Your new company
Reporting into the Head of People, you'll act as the subject matter expert for employee relations and industrial relations, partnering with senior stakeholders to provide commercially focused, practical and legally compliant advice. The role offers a broad remit spanning complex case management, policy development, organisational change, union engagement, people risk management and the delivery of strategic people initiatives.
Your new role
- Lead on complex employee relations and industrial relations matters.
- Provide expert advice on disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and performance issues.
- Support business wide restructuring, redundancy, TUPE and organisational change programmes.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, toolkits and manager guidance.
- Build people management capability through coaching, training and stakeholder support.
- Monitor employment legislation and emerging workforce trends, translating these into practical business guidance.
- Own and coordinate people risk activities, ensuring appropriate governance, compliance and mitigation plans are in place.
- Work closely with HR and operational leaders to drive consistency, continuous improvement and best practice across the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
We're keen to speak with HR and Employee Relations professionals who can demonstrate:
- Strong employee relations expertise within a complex organisation.
- Solid working knowledge of UK employment law and ER risk management.
- Experience managing high-risk and sensitive ER cases.
- Exposure to industrial relations and trade union engagement.
- Experience delivering restructuring, redundancy, collective consultation and TUPE projects.
- The ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
- A background within operational, multi-site or unionised environments.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
