An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Maidstone. This is a standalone role offering autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a real impact across the business.
The Role
As Health & Safety Manager, you will lead the company's health and safety function, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices across both office and operational environments.
This is primarily an office-based position, with occasional travel to sites across the South East and London. You will work closely with management teams to promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of health and safety across the business
- Ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation and industry standards
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections, and investigations where required
- Review and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and documentation
- Deliver guidance and support to managers and employees on health and safety matters
- Identify opportunities to improve safety performance and minimise risk
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all compliance requirements are met
About You
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety Manager position
- NEBOSH Certificate (essential)
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the health and safety function
