Sits within OEC's International HR Shared Services team, working on-site in Meriden to deliver core HR processes across the full employee lifecycle. Acts as a first point of contact for employees and managers on site, escalating anything complex or sensitive, and helping ensure that OEC's people processes, policies and documentation remain aligned with UK employment law and ACAS good-practice guidance.
Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential to the job)
- Coordinating end-to-end onboarding, including right to work checks, reference checks and new starter documentation.
- Responding to HR enquiries via telephone, email and in person, escalating anything complex or sensitive to the HR Manager.
- Supporting recruitment activity by screening applications, coordinating interviews and maintaining candidate records.
- Processing contractual and payroll-related changes, and auditing new starter and leaver checklists.
- Coordinating separations and exit interviews, ensuring leavers receive accurate information on notice, final pay and return of company property.
- Maintaining accurate, confidential employee records on HRIS in line with UK GDPR.
- Providing administrative support for disciplinary, grievance and other HR processes.
- Keeping up to date with UK employment law and ACAS guidance, flagging where policies or processes need updating.
CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) is desirable. In the absence of a formal qualification, equivalent demonstrable experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered.
Experience, Skills and Key Competencies
- Around 2 years' experience in an HR administration or coordination role, ideally including onboarding, recruitment support and HR administration, together with a working knowledge of UK employment law, ACAS guidance and data protection requirements.
- Occasional travel is expected to Sheffield. Legal right to work in UK required.
