Our client is a successful and growing FMCG business in Frome who are looking for an experienced HR Manager who can drive people initiatives while supporting a fast-paced operational environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys partnering with senior leaders, managing complex employee relations matters, and helping to create a positive and high-performing culture.
The Role:
As HR Manager, you will report into the Head of HR and partner closely with senior management and operational teams to support business objectives through effective people strategies. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong HR generalist with experience operating in a fast-paced FMCG/Manufacturing environment.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance, supporting managers, and helping to build an engaged and productive workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, capability, and absence management.
- Support and coach managers on people management best practices.
- Drive recruitment activities to attract and retain top talent.
- Manage onboarding, training, and development initiatives.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures remain compliant with employment legislation.
- Lead employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Oversee performance management processes.
- Analyse HR metrics and provide insight to support business decision-making.
- Support organisational change and continuous improvement projects.
Profile
A successful HR Manager should have:
- Previous experience in a HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner role
- Strong ER and employment law knowledge
- Confident influencing stakeholders at all levels
- CIPD qualified (or working towards) preferred
- Experience within FMCG, Manufacturing, Engineering or a similar operational environment is highly desirable
- Strong generalist HR knowledge across the full employee lifecycle.
