Job Description
The People Experience Lead owns and shapes the colleague experience across the Group, bringing together three connected areas of focus: diversity, equity and inclusion; employee experience design; and colleague engagement. The role combines strategic direction with hands-on delivery, working closely across the People team and the wider business to make everyday working life better, fairer and more engaging for every colleague.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) activity across the Group.
- Define and articulate the strategic direction for DE&I, setting clear priorities and goals.
- Use data and insight to identify areas for improvement and track progress over time.
- Oversee the Group's Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) / Employee Network Groups, supporting their development and impact.
- Partner with recruitment and talent teams to embed inclusive practice throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Work with internal communications to raise awareness and drive engagement with DE&I initiatives.
- Keep abreast of best practice, legislation and external trends, bringing fresh insight into the Group's approach.
- Work across the People team to identify opportunities to improve the employee experience at key touchpoints across the employee lifecycle.
- Partner with People sub-functions to design and action improvements, for example onboarding, exit surveys, office experience, performance management and wellbeing.
- Map the end-to-end employee journey and champion a consistent, joined-up experience across the Group.
- Bring an evidence-based, colleague-first approach to shaping People initiatives.
- Own the Group's overall approach to colleague engagement.
- Manage the partnership with the Group's engagement survey provider (Gallup), including survey setup and communication.
- Drive participation in the engagement survey across the Group.
- Work with teams across the business to turn survey results into meaningful, visible action.
- Own colleague voice mechanisms, including the Culture Champions network.
- Use employee voice to advance participation and engagement across the Group
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a DE&I, employee experience or colleague engagement role, ideally spanning more than one of these areas.
- Track record of designing and delivering initiatives that improve the day-to-day experience of colleagues.
- Experience managing external partners or suppliers (e.g. survey or DE&I providers).
- Experience working with data and insight to shape strategy and measure impact.
- Excellent project management ability, able to plan, execute and keep momentum across multiple interconnected workstreams
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and partner across all levels of the business.
- Confident communicator, able to bring colleagues along with new initiatives.
- Strong levels of creativity, bringing fresh and novel approaches into deliverables
- Analytical mindset, comfortable using data to identify priorities and track outcomes.
