This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HR generalist who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running. With a diverse caseload and plenty of scope to support managers and employees across the business, no two days will necessarily look the same!
Working closely with the wider HR team, you'll provide practical advice, manage employee relations matters and help ensure HR processes remain compliant, effective and people-focused.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a key point of contact for managers and employees, providing clear, practical HR advice and guidance.
- Managing employee relations cases from start to finish, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance issues and employee welfare.
- Coaching and supporting line managers on employment law, people management and best practice.
- Supporting the onboarding of new starters and liaising with internal teams to ensure a smooth employee experience.
- Assisting with the review and development of HR policies and procedures to maintain compliance with current employment legislation.
- Working closely with Payroll to resolve pay-related queries and ensure accurate employee information.
- Maintaining HR systems and ensuring employee records and role changes are updated accurately and promptly.
- Supporting HR projects, departmental initiatives and general HR administration as required.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor or similar HR role.
- A strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing a varied employee relations caseload independently.
- The confidence to advise and support managers on sometimes complex people matters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and approachable manner.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A solutions-focused approach, with sound judgement and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Someone who can adapt quickly, build relationships and make a positive contribution from day one.
What's in it for you?
- An immediate start.
- An initial contract of approximately three months, expected to run until early January 2027.
- The opportunity to join an established, supportive HR team.
- Free on-site parking.
- A range of additional employee benefits, including an employee assistance programme, staff discounts, eye care allowance and access to exclusive lifestyle discounts.
