Reed is proud to be partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in Winsford to recruit a proactive and experienced HR Manager on a part-time basis. This role offers flexibility around working hours and is ideal for someone seeking a better work-life balance.
As the standalone HR professional, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering the HR strategy, supporting day-to-day operations, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives on variety and autonomy, and who can confidently manage all aspects of HR within an SME environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Creating and maintaining HR policies and procedures, including the employee handbook
- Aligning HR initiatives with business objectives and operational needs
- Leading employee engagement and retention strategies
- Handling employee relations matters such as grievances, disciplinaries, and conflict resolution
- Managing recruitment from job posting through to onboarding
- Supporting and coaching line managers across the business
- Overseeing induction and training for new hires
- Identifying development needs and coordinating training opportunities
- Working closely with Health & Safety to ensure compliance
- Ensuring adherence to employment legislation and industry standards
- Collaborating with Finance on payroll and benefits administration
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid HR generalist experience, ideally in a standalone or SME role
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law
- Confident in handling ER cases independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable working onsite in a manufacturing environment
