Employer Engagement Advisor

Join our dynamic team as an Employer Engagement Advisor at the Civic Offices in Bexleyheath. This role is crucial in supporting individuals who have been out of work for extended periods, helping them overcome barriers to re-enter the employment market. You will be instrumental in sourcing employment opportunities and delivering support through established employment models.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Engage directly with employers through face-to-face visits, phone calls, emails, and virtual meetings to secure job vacancies.
- Promote vacancies, perform CV matching, shortlist candidates, and organise various recruitment activities such as assessment centres and interviews.
- Develop new and maintain existing relationships with local businesses through robust account management and regular personal contact, including site visits.
- Participate in business networking, attend job fairs, and organise employer events and sector-based open days to expand the pool of potential applicants.
- Deliver employability support under the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) models, adhering to the Fidelity Scales.
- Collaborate with Employment Advisor teams to market clients further removed from the labour market and improve the level of candidates for managed vacancies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and complementary provision to assist employers appropriately during the recruitment process.
- Ensure accurate completion and monitoring of all company contacts, vacancies, interview dates, and specific outcomes, including job placement success.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in employer engagement or a similar role, ideally within a public or social services sector.
- Strong ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with businesses and partner organisations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively promoting vacancies and supporting businesses with recruitment.
- Knowledge of current employment legislation and job market trends.
- Familiarity with GDPR and Freedom of Information legislation as it applies to employment practices.
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours commitments.
