Reed HR are working alongside a large Educational Establishment based in South East London who are recruiting for an experienced HR Shared Service Administrator on a temporary basis for initially 3 months.
This role is hybrid role so flexibility is offered.
Summary
The role holder will be a skilled and proficient Human Resources (HR) administrator, with the capability of providing the range of professional HR administrative duties required by the People Operations Team. This role sits within the People Operations Team but will have a focus on recruitment activities.
Main duties:
• To provide a customer focused service to both our internal customers (recruiting managers and employees) and applicants.
• To work closely with the People Operations Manager to ensure that new recruitment campaigns are checked and advertised in a timely manner both through our own job site (eRecruiter) and in the external media.
• Provide advice and guidance to recruiting managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle to ensure that job descriptions and advert copy are fit for purpose, and that the job criteria (grade, contract type, FTE) are in line with financial authorisation.
• Proactively answer information requests and queries which are received in our HR Recruitment inbox.
• Draft contracts and offer letters for successful candidates.
• ‘Buddy-check’ other colleagues’ draft contracts and correspondence prior to sending.
• Undertake all pre-employment checks for new starters. This includes references, right-to-work checks, pre-employment medical screening and DBS checks (if applicable).
• Assist the People Operations Manager by ensuring that the Recruitment Tracker is up to date and monitor the progress of onboarding processes, chasing where applicable.
• Escalating problematic cases where appropriate.
• Adding new starters to our database (Business World) to facilitate the generation of new network accounts, HR records and payment.
• Liaise with colleague in Payroll to resolve any queries relating to payment instruction/supporting documentation throughout the payroll cycle.
• Maintain employee records in line with policy and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
• Contribute proactively to People Operations team meetings and wider People and Organisational Development team meetings/activities.
• Assist the People Operations Manager with other administrative activity commensurate with the grade.
