School Business Manager

- Salary: Up to £53,000 depending on experience
We are seeking a dedicated School Business Manager to join a team in Surrey. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, including responsibility and accountability for managing delegated budgets and resources. The successful candidate will be instrumental in creating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating development plans aimed at continual improvement.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Act with a high degree of autonomy in managing delegated budgets and resources.
- Create, implement, monitor, and evaluate development plans for continual improvement.
- Contribute to the overall aims of the team and support various administrative and strategic functions as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in education.
- Manage EBITDA, financial systems, processes, and budget preparation.
- Oversee recruitment, human resources, and employee relations.
- Promote positive relationships among students, staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Define and achieve high, appropriate, and attainable standards across the school.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations and standards for education.
- Familiarity with current inspection frameworks used by regulatory and statutory bodies.
- Understanding of safeguarding and legislative procedures when working with children and young people.
- Strong management skills and knowledge of EBITDA, financial systems, processes, and budget preparation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in recruitment, human resources, and employee relations.
- Ability to form and promote positive relationships with various stakeholders.
- Effective team leadership and management skills.
- Ability to assess situations accurately, resolve problems effectively, and make informed decisions.
- Previous School Business Manager experience is preferred.
