HR Officer
Location: Office-based near Wembley
We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee relations and HR processes, with some exposure to TUPE. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Provide expert advice and practical support to managers and senior staff on all aspects of people management and employment law, including discipline, grievance, sickness management, attendance, TUPE, restructuring, and redundancy.
- Ensure all processes align with company values and legal requirements.
- Foster a positive employee relations climate and maintain effective communication with employees and unions.
- Support employee development through performance management, probation reviews, and annual personal development reviews.
Recruitment
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring compliance with equal opportunities policies and reasonable adjustments where required.
- Oversee the apprenticeship scheme, ensuring contractual compliance, retention, and management engagement.
- Align recruitment strategies with organizational goals and policies.
Absence Management
- Maintain accurate records of staff sickness, absence, and leave entitlements.
- Monitor absence trends and report triggers to management.
- Support managers in conducting absence review meetings.
HR Advocacy
- Build strong working relationships across the business to deliver a cohesive HR service.
- Regularly update management on HR activities and initiatives.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement effective interventions to drive positive change.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous HR experience with exposure to TUPE processes.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
