Amore Group is a leading provider of health and social care services across the North West and Yorkshire.
We’re looking for a strategic, adaptable HR Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the directors, line-managing the HR Assistant, and driving HR excellence across the organisation.
This is a varied and highly impactful role – you will support all staff types (salaried, umbrella, annualised contracts) while shaping HR strategy, policies, and processes across the business.
What you will do:
- Provide HR guidance across all divisions, supporting directors and managers on starters, leavers, probation, absence, flexible working, maternity/paternity, TUPE, and more.
- Lead employee relations casework, investigations, disciplinary processes, and safeguarding matters.
- Support staff working with clients with complex needs, ensuring HR practices promote safety, wellbeing, and compliance.
- Line-manage the HR Assistant, overseeing HR administration, onboarding, induction, exit interviews, and employee benefits (Sage).
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, supporting performance management and career development.
- Issue employment contracts, support PAYE transitions, payroll processes, and absence recording.
- Advise on change management, consultations, and organisational restructuring.
- Ensure compliance with CQC, Ofsted, and the organisation’s sponsorship license.
- Be proactive, adaptable, and solution-focused, responding to evolving business needs.
What we are looking for:
- CIPD Level 5 qualified with experience in regulated health or social care environments.
- Proven experience in a senior HR role, including investigations, safeguarding, employee relations, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of pay models, IR35, annualised contracts, payroll, HR systems, and employment law.
- Experience line-managing HR staff or assistants and providing HR support across multiple divisions.
- Confident with MS Office, spreadsheets, HR systems, and employee benefits platforms.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and organisational skills, with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
