Our client is a Global Professional Consultancy business with offices across the UK, due to continued growth they are looking to recruit a new Sustainability and Social Value Manager to join their team. A key role to the business to lead the team of five highly experienced consultants in this space.
An exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced leader in this field of to shape and grow this advisory service to clients across the Construction and building sector.
Paying up to £130k you will be responsible for the development, delivery and commercial performance of the businesses Sustainability Social Value consultancy service. Your other duties will include
- Own and lead the Sustainability & Social Value Advisory Service GTM strategy, developing the business
- Be responsible for the commercial performance and quality assurance of the Sustainability & Social Value Advisory Service in the UK.
- Lead the performance and development of the advisory team to meet current and emerging needs.
- Act as Project Director and Subject Matter Expert across projects in a wide range of markets.
- Be the voice of the department for our business, influencing client, industry and internal stakeholders at a senior level; working closely with our marketing and client relationship managers.
- Play an active role in the portfolio leadership team to grow our sustainability business and offer holistic, joined-up services to our clients.
- You will represent the business both internally and externally, building their market presence and awareness of the service.
- You will work closely with your counterparts in the companies other regions, especially Europe to help achieve their global ambition and raise the profile of the team
- You will be a proven leader, ideally with experience in the built environment sector and have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Requirements and skills
- You will have experience of leading and developing Sustainability & social value / impact programmes working in a client-facing, advisory role (or equivalent)
- Developing compelling Sustainability and social value strategies at a project and corporate level, with an understanding needs and priorities.
- Developing and implementing Sustainability & social impact measurement and monitoring processes, including using and adapting a wide range of social value tools and frameworks
- Leading strong client and stakeholder relationships at senior levels, both externally and internally
- Successfully developing and implementing business development / Go to Market strategies.
- Identifying new market opportunities, leading work winning activities including experience of leading bids.
- Project leadership roles, focused on achievement of commercial, quality and client satisfaction performance indicators
- Leading specialist teams, managing and coaching senior team members
- You can be based anywhere in the UK for this role but your home office will be London
