Reed HR are working alongside a large Educational Establishment based in Central London who are recruiting for an interim Head of HR Operations for initially 6 months.
This role is hybrid so flexible working is available.
Job Summary
- To lead and deliver a professional and efficient HR operational function which includes the overseeing of recruitment, payroll, patients and carers, consultancy, secondments and service provisions agreement process, and performance Management systems to support the strategic objectives of the organisation.
- Playing a leading role with employee relations matters and organisational redesign.
- To assist the Director of HR with the strategic aspects of the HR Department.
- To line manage the appropriate staff members.
Key Duties
- To deputise for the Director of Human Resources when they are away from the office.
- The direct line management and appraisal of the appropriate staff members. Ensure that all staff are developed appropriately and overall responsibility for staff development.
- Support on the review and modernisation of management practices within the business to ensure that they are effective.
- Assist the Director of HR in developing and implementing successful strategies for engaging and working with senior managers and other employees in the management of change and attainment of good HR practice.
- Lead on recruitment, consultancy, secondments and service provision agreements process and the performance management system.
- Playing a leading role with employee relations.
- To ensure that our work with patients and carers are carried out to a high-quality standard.
- Assist with the management and the development of the HR system.
- To manage and process the payroll process alongside the Senior HR Adviser.
- Develop, maintain, and constantly review the staff induction and performance management processes to ensure that it meets the needs of the business and is in line with our values.
- Develop and maintain a recruitment Strategy aligned to the Establishments current and future needs.
- Play a leading role in projects, reviews and restructure.
- Play a leading role in employee relation issues to ensure they meet best practice/employment legislation.
- To ensure that queries to HR are responded to in a prompt and timely manner including the management of the HR Hub email address rota.
- Support the continuous improvement of HR processes, policies and procedures and ensuring processes are correctly mapped out, documented and implemented through the appropriate technology, where appropriate.
- To maintain expertise and keep up to date with employment law; ensuring policies are updated and managers are informed of relevant legislative changes.
- Ensure that the relevant HR pages on the organisations Intranet is kept up to date.
- To ensure that accurate and up to date HR data is produced for reporting and analysis in a timely manner and highlighting trends and making recommendations on performance improvement.
