Dalton Recruitment is partnering with this fantastic UK & European business to secure them a new HR Administrator.
The HR Administrator will provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department and wider business including overseeing and maintaining an accurate system of employee records, files and data, ensuring that the firm meets the requirements of UK employment legislation. Reporting to the Head of HR Operations, the HR Administrator will be expected to provide smooth, efficient and effective administrative HR support across Recruitment, On-boarding & Induction, Background & Reference checking, Personnel Documentation and Record Keeping, Performance & Appraisal reporting, Training & Development Records and Processes, Absence Records and Processes, Leaver’s Close-Out, Payroll Administration.
This newly created role offers a hybrid working model with 3-4 days required in the Ashford office and 1-2 from home. The successful candidate will be joining a fantastic HR team at a very exciting time for the business with a genuine opportunity for development for those wishing to progress a career in HR.
Skills required to be considered:
- At least two years in a similar role.
- Solid HR administration skills: accurate data-entry, accurate and timely minute-taking, legislative & compliant filing (paper and electronic) and record-keeping.
- Good PC and keyboard skills (Essential-Word, Excel, Outlook, Desirable - Microsoft 365)
- Excellent interpersonal skills – diplomacy, confidentiality, tact and the ability to build trust with at the same time a people person personality who enjoys working with people.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively both in person and over the telephone or in writing.
- Ability to organise own workload, whilst retaining adaptability and positive willingness to work under instruction.
- Strong time-management capability and extremely well organised. Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and ensure that own workload is processed effectively whilst team deadlines continue to be met.
- Capable of managing upwards and delivering proactive administrative support to the HR team
- Team player
- Ideally part qualified CIPD (or working towards)
- Ideally good knowledge of up to date UK employment law and good practices
- Previous experience of working remote/virtually
