Job Title: HR Advisor
Location: One day in the office each week near Oxford
Salary: £45-£48,000pa
Our client is seeking an driven and motivatedHR Advisor sho will provide solution-focused HR support across the Portfolio group, working closely with the HR Manager and HRBP to deliver consistent people practices, high-quality employee support, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Manager Support
- Coach and advise managers on ER matters including performance, absence, disciplinary, grievance, restructuring, and succession planning.
- Attend and support formal meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up.
- Provide practical, solution-driven HR advice aligned with policies and employment legislation.
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Manage day-to-day HR administration including HRIS updates, personnel files, onboarding, internal communications, and lifecycle documentation.
- Produce monthly/quarterly HR reports and provide data insights to managers.
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records in line with company policies and GDPR.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Support end-to-end recruitment: drafting job descriptions, liaising with agencies, screening candidates, interviewing, and issuing offers.
- Conduct Right to Work checks and support sponsorship processes where required.
- Deliver and continuously improve the onboarding programme for new starters.
Learning, Development & Performance
- Support the design, delivery, and maintenance of training programmes across the employee lifecycle.
- Assist with performance review cycles, performance management processes, and talent development activities.
- Support apprenticeship management and relationships with external providers.
HR Systems & Compliance
- Provide support for HR systems including Workday, Zendesk, KnowBe4, and Training Zone.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and HR governance requirements.
- Contribute to policy updates and handbook revisions in line with legislative changes.
Projects, Payroll & Acquisitions
- Support monthly payroll processes, salary reviews, bonuses, and ad-hoc payments.
- Contribute to HR projects and change initiatives as required by the HR Manager.
- Provide HR support during acquisition activity, from due diligence to onboarding.
Required Skills & Capabilities
- CIPD Level 3 or 5 (full or part qualified).
- Minimum 3 years’ generalist HR experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Workday (desirable).
- Ability to contribute to policy drafting and HR process improvements.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and committed to delivering high-quality HR support.
