Job Title: HRBP
Location: One day in the office each week near Oxford
Salary: £55-£58,000pa
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive HR Business Partner, you’ll work closely with managers and employees to deliver people solutions that drive engagement, compliance, and performance. Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll act as a trusted advisor, supporting employee relations, talent development, and the rollout of key HR initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & People Management
- Act as a trusted partner to leaders across the Portfolio, providing proactive, solution-focused HR support.
- Coach and advise managers on all aspects of people management, including performance, capability, absence, disciplinary, grievance, restructuring, and succession planning.
- Support the development and implementation of HR strategies that enhance organisational performance and employee engagement.
Employee Lifecycle & Operational Excellence
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, ensuring consistent, compliant processes across UK and European business units.
- Maintain accurate HR data, personnel files, and HRIS records (Workday, LMS, SolarWinds, KnowBe4), producing monthly/quarterly HR metrics as required.
- Ensure high-quality internal communications and timely completion of all HR administration.
Talent, Recruitment & Workforce Planning
- Support recruitment activity, including drafting job descriptions, liaising with agencies, screening candidates, interviewing, and managing offers.
- Support sponsorship processes where required.
- Work with the HR Manager to identify key talent, high-potential individuals, and succession risks, contributing to robust workforce planning.
Projects, Change & Integration
- Lead or support HR projects, including policy development, process improvements, and portfolio-wide initiatives.
- Provide HR support for acquisition activity from due diligence through to onboarding and integration.
- Champion consistent HR practices across all business units, ensuring alignment with portfolio standards and local legislation (including Germany).
Cross-Border HR Expertise (DACH Focus)
- Apply knowledge of German employment practices to support managers and employees in DACH-region businesses.
- Ensure HR processes, documentation, and employee relations approaches are culturally and legally appropriate for Germany.
- Build strong relationships with DACH leaders, acting as a bridge between local expectations and EU-wide HR frameworks.
Experience & Skills
- Proven HR generalist or HRBP experience within multi-entity or international environments.
- Demonstrable experience supporting businesses in the DACH region, particularly Germany, with understanding of local employment norms.
- Strong ER experience with the ability to coach managers through complex cases.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple business units.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, solution-driven mindset aligned with the Group HR strategy.
