Main Purpose of the Role:
- Support the delivery of people-related processes across the organisation that support the Company’s business objectives.
- Undertake generalist HR functions such as the day-to-day delivery of HR operations, policies and procedures incorporating employee relations, training and development, sickness absence monitoring management
Job Description:
- Work proactively with managers on employment areas such as HR policy, wellbeing, flexible working, and absence management.
- Provide training, coaching, and advice to line managers to ensure adherence to procedures in discipline, grievance, performance, and people management.
- Assist in managing short and long-term absence issues, including referrals to Occupational Health.
- Offer support on pay conditions, HR policies, and processes to employees and line managers.
- Contribute to HR policy writing to ensure legal compliance and alignment with organisational vision.
- Draft accurate letters, contracts, and reports within agreed timescales.
- Support strategic HR projects and change management initiatives such as wellbeing programs, learning and development, and employee engagement.
- Maintain the case management system with up-to-date and accurate management information.
- Liaise with the payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely updates for payroll processing.
- Stay updated with legislative and employment law changes impacting HR and recruitment processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience.
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor in a generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience with TUPE transfers.
- Experience in developing and implementing HR policies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to handle sensitive, emotional, and contentious issues.
- Strong IT and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in the health and social care sector or a regulated environment is desirable.
- Experience working with trade unions and delivering training is also desirable.
This role is being offered for six months, you must be able to work on site daily however flexibility can be offered.
