Job Title: Employee Relations Advisor Location: Ashford & London Bridge (Hybrid) Monday to Friday 3 days in the office 2 days working from home Contract: Full-time / Ongoing temporary
Role Overview - Provide expert Employee Relations advice and support to managers and employees across the business
- Manage complex ER casework, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies
- Support a consistent, fair, and legally compliant approach to people management
Key Responsibilities - Manage a range of ER cases including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management, and performance issues
- Advise managers on employment law, company policies, and best practice
- Lead on complex and sensitive ER cases, including investigations and hearings
- Support and coach managers to build confidence in handling ER matters
- Draft and review ER-related documentation such as investigation reports, outcome letters, and settlement paperwork
- Support change management activity, including restructures and consultations where required
- Ensure ER cases are managed consistently and in line with internal policies and legal requirements
- Maintain accurate case records and provide ER data and insights as required
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders across both Ashford and London Bridge locations
Skills & Experience Required - Proven experience in an Employee Relations Advisor or similar ER-focused role
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practice
- Experience managing complex ER casework independently from start to finish
- Confident advising and influencing managers at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-site environment
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) desirable
Working Arrangement - Hybrid role with regular presence required in Ashford and London Bridge
- Flexibility to travel between sites as needed
