Description
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations, including grievances, disciplinaries, capability, and misconduct
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers
- Support recruitment activity across UK sites
- Take ownership of contractor management, including onboarding, compliance, documentation, and contract extensions
- Apply and maintain knowledge of IR35 and contractor compliance
- Develop and implement processes to track contractor paperwork, expiry dates, and approvals
- Maintain and utilise HR systems (Workday experience desirable)
- Support manager development and promote HR self-service
- Contribute to HR projects aligned to UK and European people strategies
Profile
A successful HR Manager should have:
- Strong experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor
- Solid employee relations capability, including handling complex cases up to gross misconduct
- Knowledge of contractor management and IR35 compliance
- Experience supporting operational, technical, or project-based teams
- Ability to work autonomously, manage a high workload, and prioritise effectively
- Practical experience with HR systems, ideally Workday
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Collaborative, flexible, and adaptable approach to change
