My client is seeking a Head of People and Culture to play a pivotal role in supporting the Finance Director and Chief Resource Officer in delivering an effective people strategy aligned with the organisation’s strategic plan. The successful candidate will ensure that every employee’s contribution is maximised and that the organisation’s people practices enable high performance.
The role will provide strategic direction, expert guidance and practical support to the executive team, managers and their teams, ensuring the People and Culture function is proactive, efficient and adaptable to the evolving needs of the organisation.
A key responsibility will be to lead, motivate and develop the People and Culture team on a daily basis, fostering a collaborative environment where individuals can perform at their best and work cohesively to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Champion continuous improvement and uphold high professional standards through regular feedback and performance expectations.
- Ensure effective recruitment mechanisms are in place to attract the very best talent.
- Partner with managers and supervisors to understand recruitment needs and guide them through the full selection process.
- Promote consistency and best practice across recruitment, including advertising, interview design, and cost-effective hiring.
- Use management information to identify trends, forecast workforce needs, and support succession planning.
- Ensure every new joiner receives a consistent, engaging induction that reflects the culture of the business.
- Oversee and continuously improve the Company Induction and probation review processes.
- Review and enhance the performance review system.
- Work with managers to create meaningful Personal Development Plans.
