HR Officer – Basildon
I'm looking for a proactive HR Officer to join my client's Basildon office and support their UK and Europe sites. This role works closely with the UK Management Team and covers recruitment, HR administration, onboarding, training, and performance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Create job descriptions and post vacancies.
- Liaise with external partners to maintain candidate flow.
- Arrange and support interviews.
- Deliver smooth, well-organised onboarding for new starters.
HR Administration
- Prepare employment contracts and update organisation charts.
- Manage absence and holiday records and maintain accurate HRMS (Oracle) data.
- Produce HR reports and data sheets as needed.
- Record all training activity and report quarterly.
- Support managers with training needs and development planning.
Payroll Support
- Support monthly payroll input.
On- and Off-boarding
- Prepare equipment, access and workspace for new starters.
- Introduce new employees to the office and staff handbook.
- Arrange probation follow-ups and manage all exit processes.
Performance Management
- Support annual review and goal-setting cycles.
- Update HRMS reporting lines and organise guidance sessions.
- Track progress throughout the process.
What You’ll Bring

- Confident using MS Office and legacy systems.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Good payroll knowledge (desirable)
- Previous experience in an HR generalist role.
