HR Advisor - Labour Relations ?? Warton, Preston ?? £41.58 per hour via PAYE or £53.55 via umbrella (Inside IR35) ?? Contract
Overview We are seeking an experienced
HR Advisor - Labour Relations to join the team at BAE Systems, based in Warton, Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a highly regulated, unionised environment, supporting key labour relations activities across a complex organisation. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering labour relations strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders and trade union representatives to ensure effective collaboration and compliance with employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and delivery of labour relations strategy aligned to business objectives
- Build and maintain effective relationships with trade unions and employee representatives
- Provide expert guidance on employment legislation, including the Employment Rights Act
- Support the Head of Labour Relations on key initiatives, negotiations, and casework
- Advise managers on employee relations matters, ensuring best practice and consistency
- Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement of HR processes
- Assist with dispute resolution, consultations, and organisational change activity
Skills & Experience- Proven experience in a labour relations or employee relations HR role
- Strong understanding of UK employment law, particularly within unionised environments
- Experience working with trade unions and collective agreements
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to operate in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation capabilities
Qualifications- Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline
- CIPD qualification (desirable)
