Futures Recruitment are looking for an experienced HR Officer to join our team in a true generalist capacity, with a strong emphasis on independently managing employee relations caseloads.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident taking ownership of complex people matters from start to finish. You’ll work closely with managers across the business, providing practical, commercially focused HR advice while ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
The Role
- Managing a varied employee relations caseload, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance issues.
- Leading investigations, hearings, and appeals, ensuring cases are handled thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to managers, guiding them through complex HR issues with confidence.
- Ensuring all casework is compliant with employment legislation and internal policies.
- Coaching and upskilling managers to improve people management capability.
- Supporting wider HR activity, including policy development, change initiatives, and HR projects.
- Monitoring trends in casework and identifying opportunities for proactive intervention.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role with strong employee relations exposure.
- A track record of independently managing HR casework from end to end.
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law and best practice.
- Confidence in advising and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A calm, professional approach when dealing with sensitive and complex issues.
